Christian Walker of the Arizona Diamondbacks received an out at home plate in Game 3 of the World Series after ignoring a stop flag from his third base coach. Because of the unrest on the basepaths, Arizona was unable to take the lead and eventually passed 3-1 to the Texas Rangers.
His double off the base of the wall in right center put Arizon in a prime position to score the game's first run.

However confusion on the basepaths led to his untimely out at the plate.Walker was initially signaled to run home by Perezchica. He later changed the signal to stop, unfortunately, which walker didn't see as he rounded third base. Right filder Adolis Garcia's strong throw to catcher Jonah Heim easily beat, resulting in the out.
- 👉In the third inning, Corey Seager's two-run homer put Texas leading 3-0.
- Scherzer was forced off early due to a back injury, but the Rangers held on to set a new postseason record with nine consecutive road victories.
- Game four is scheduled for Tuesday evening at Chase Field.
- The Diamondbacks bats struggled to get any home field advantage as the series progressed, despite scoring nine runs in game two on Saturday.
- They abused a wonderful opportunity when Christian Walker led off the bottom of the second inning with a double.
Walker then charged for home on a base hit from Tommy Pham, despite the third-base coach warning him to stop at third, and was thrown out at home plate by Adolis Garcia's great throw from right field.
Texas took the lead in the third innings when Nathaniel Lowe doubled and was driven in by Marcus Semien, and shortstop Seager replied with a two-run homer over right field.
While the Rangers stranded many baserunners trying to improve their lead, the image of star slugger Garcia clutching his side and hobbling off after flying out to center field in the top of the eighth inning was more troubling.
Geraldo Perdomo drove home pinch-hitter Emmanuel Rivera with no outs in the bottom of the eighth, but a controversial double play call ended the comeback, and Rangers closer Jose Leclerc retired the side in the ninth.
The pitching matchup in Game 4 possibly suddenly be interesting, with both teams likely to opt for a 'bullpen game' rather than a traditional starter.
After being hit by a line drive early in the game, Scherzer had to leave the game after three innings due to back discomfort.
The Rangers had announced Jon Gray as their game four starter, but following Scherzer's injury, they had to ask him to pitch three innings in relief, while the Diamondbacks, who had searched for an effective fourth starter in the postseason, were already planning a bullpen game for Tuesday.
